Fundraise

Help provide financial support to provide product to those in need plus education and advocation to legislators and community leaders.

Creating an online fundraiser through Facebook, rally your classmates to raise funds or host an office or church party.

There are so many ways to help.

A few ways to fundraise. Please share your ideas with us.

Network on Social Media (Peer-to-Peer)

Peer-to-peer (p2p) fundraising is a way to raise money by encouraging supporters to activate their own network to raise money on behalf of an organization such as a church, school or office.

Engage friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to donate using an online fundraising page like Facebook that directs funds to The Period Project.

Promote The Period Project’s Amazon Smile Account

What could be simpler?

Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to The Homeless Period Project when you select us as your charitable organization.

AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.

Support The Homeless Period Project by shopping at smile.amazon.com. Promote the project on your social media channels and spread word.

Start an Annual Grilling/Bbq Contest

Host a BBQ contest and fundraise at the same time.

For a BBQ contest, you’ll need a large space (like a parking lot), judges and a whole lot of napkins. Ask your pitmaster participants to bring their own grills or smokers, or just tote their pre-cooked meats. Winner gets bragging rights, and all visitors get a huge plate of yummy meats and sides.

You can charge entry fees and for food while promoting The Homeless Period Project and raising funds for women and girls in need. It is a great way to get the entire neighborhood together for a cause.

Sponsor A 5K/10K Run/Walk

The southeast is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. It’s filled with athletes and there’s nothing better than participating in a 5K or a charity walk with friends and family.

Runners/walkers will need to pay an entry fee for the various races, but you can also create a group and encourage participants to gain sponsorships for The Homeless Period Project.

Host a Period Packing Party

A Packing Party is a casual fundraiser that supports The Homeless Period Project. Packing Parties can be as simple as an after work get-together or as elaborate as a fully-catered dinner party. Regardless of your party style, the goal is to provide a fun and enjoyable event that educates guests about the impact of their generosity while building Period Packs and raising funds.

Consider this, by simply asking guests to donate what they would normally spend on a hostess gift, it is easy to raise $300 to more than $3,000 at one event. This is enough to provide care for up to 500 individuals in need. Plus, it is tax deductible to the fullest extinct of the law.
